At Rosario Ranch, we believe good beef starts long before harvest day.
Our Black Angus cattle are raised on pasture in Anacortes, Washington, with supplemental feed sourced from a local seed producer, free-choice minerals, and locally sourced hay during the winter months. We prioritize animal welfare, responsible land stewardship, and producing beef that we’re proud to serve our own family.
Whether you’re looking for premium steaks, hearty roasts, or everyday ground beef, our limited seasonal beef offerings provide an opportunity to purchase directly from the ranch where your food was raised.
Know your farmer. Know your food.

Pasture-Raised Beef
I grew up horse-crazy and spent most of my childhood riding, showing, giving riding lessons, and training horses. This love of animals, along with my teaching and training experience, guided my choice to attend a school where I could continue working with animals.
I attended college intending to become a veterinarian and studied animal science with an emphasis in production agriculture. Through my coursework, work on breeding farms, veterinary experience, and later agricultural research positions, I began asking questions about how food and livestock production systems could be improved. I was fortunate to work in university research, veterinary medicine, horse breeding, and agricultural extension programs, which exposed me to both conventional and organic production methods.
Throughout those experiences, I became increasingly interested in regenerative agriculture, permaculture, and farming systems that work in partnership with natural processes. My work has included livestock management, breeding operations, vegetable production research, soil health studies, horticulture trials, and helping individuals develop regenerative gardens and landscapes.
My experiences as a mother, educator, researcher, and lifelong learner have also shaped how I approach agriculture. I believe farming should not only produce food but also restore ecosystems, support biodiversity, and provide opportunities for education and community connection.
What excites me most about Rosario Ranch is the opportunity to demonstrate regenerative agriculture in a real-world setting. The ranch has become a place where I can express my passion for farming and food systems, experiment, learn, improve soil health, increase biodiversity, integrate livestock thoughtfully, and show visitors how productive agriculture can work with nature rather than against it.
Looking ahead, I hope to expand educational opportunities through workshops, school field trips, and community programs that help people better understand where their food comes from and how healthy ecosystems support healthy communities. I am especially interested in helping preserve rare and threatened livestock genetics while creating systems that are resilient, productive, and beneficial for future generations.
