Trail Ride

All Riders - Guided

Escape the ordinary and experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest on horseback with Rosario Ranch Anacortes. This experience is designed for riders looking to enjoy a relaxed, scenic trail ride while also learning more about horses and horsemanship in a welcoming, small-group setting.

Please note: Rosario Ranch does not have trails on the property. All trail rides take place at carefully selected off-sitelocations and must be planned in advance.

For the safety and enjoyment of both horse and rider, all new trail riders are required to complete one private flat (arena) lesson before booking a trail ride. This allows us to evaluate your riding experience, match you with the most appropriate horse, and build the foundational skills necessary for a safe and enjoyable trail riding experience.

During your flat lesson, we'll discuss your trail riding goals, determine whether you're ready for the trail, review trail ride pricing, and work together to choose an off-site trail location based on your experience level, weather, seasonal trail conditions, and the type of scenery you'd like to enjoy—from peaceful forest paths to breathtaking coastal and island views.

Before each trail ride, guests will spend hands-on time grooming, getting to know their horse, and reviewing horsemanship and trail safety. Our rides are designed to be enjoyable, beginner-friendly, and connection-focused rather than fast-paced or performance-oriented.

This experience is perfect for visitors and local riders who want an authentic horse experience while exploring the natural beauty of the Anacortes area with knowledgeable guidance and well-cared-for horses.

Closed-toe shoes are required. Helmets are provided. Beginner riders are welcome to start with a flat lesson and work toward a trail riding experience.
